Inzeption is the centre for applied communications. As a non-profit research centre founded by the Influence Hub and other corporate sponsors, we provide a nexus which allows academics to interact with practitioners, and which allows corporate partners to co-sponsor research on a more ambitious scale than they could allow individually.
Our name reflects the desire to take notions of inception to their logical end. We spell inzeption with the letter which ends the alphabet to remind ourselves that the ends, the final goals, must be ultimate.
Our work is currently built around four interrelated research streams, each led by one of our fellows.
- “Futures” is a research project looking at the possible scenarios for corporate communications consultancies.
- “Manifesto” aims to establish a process for developing corporate strategies into narratives.
- “Theory” is a programme of research which establishes the viability and feasibility of narratives.
- “Vision” is a case-study based approach which aims to help practitioners to identify and recommend specific communications options.
